Howard D. Perlow, CFA, is a Principal, Partner, and Co-Founder of the firm, serving as Managing Member since its inception in 2001. In April 2023, he assumed the role of CEO of Angeles Investment Advisors, taking charge of all day-to-day non-investment functions of the firm. Mr. Perlow brings 39 years of experience in the investment business, having begun his career in institutional investment management in 1986. His extensive experience spans all facets of the investment process, including alternative investments, with a deep expertise in manager research. He works with a diverse range of clients, including Endowments, Foundations, Pension Funds, and Healthcare organizations. Throughout his career, he has conducted hundreds of manager searches, amounting to billions of dollars in assets. Prior to co-founding Angeles Investment Advisors, Mr. Perlow was also a founding partner and Chief Operating Officer of Asset Strategy Consulting. His journey in the investment business started at Wilshire Associates, where he was a key member of the consulting team and led the firm's international and fixed-income manager search activities. Additionally, Mr. Perlow dedicated two years as a performance measurement analyst, during which he designed the performance measurement and manager database systems for Asset Strategy Consulting. Mr. Perlow holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, Irvine, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
