Shannon Morton

Senior Managing Director

Shannon joined Angeles Investment Advisors in 2026 as a Senior Managing Director based in Houston. Shannon works with foundations, endowments, and nonprofit institutions on investment strategy, strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk management. She brings more than 25 years of experience across global asset management and institutional investment advisory to her work with Angeles' clients. Prior to joining Angeles, Shannon served as Senior Vice President and Senior Investment Officer at Northern Trust, where she led the West Region investment team for the Foundation and Institutional Advisors group and served as one of three Senior Investment Officers leading the national FIA investment team. Earlier in her career, Shannon was a Director and Investment Strategist at BlackRock within the BlackRock Investment Institute, and a Senior Portfolio Manager at AllianceBernstein. Previously, she was Managing Director of Business Development and Investor Relations at Covariance Capital Management, an outsourced CIO firm launched with $1 billion in investment capital from TIAA. Shannon began her career at Invesco/AIM Investments, where she held progressively senior roles over 13 years spanning Emerging Markets equity research, trading and portfolio management across the firm's global mutual fund and separately managed account platforms and within AIM Private Asset Management. Shannon received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin, with a major equivalency in Spanish, and studied abroad at the University of Salamanca in Spain. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst® Charterholder and a member of the Houston Society of Financial Analysts. Shannon serves on the Investment Committee for Community Health Choice, a Texas-based nonprofit managed care organization providing affordable and no-cost health insurance plans, and on the Memorial High School Athletics Board.
