L.A. KITCHEN – Dinner Party Experience

On April 27th Angeles Wealth Management hosted an intimate dinner party experience at L.A. Kitchen. The inspiring setting and thewarmth and enthusiasm of the guests made
for an incredible experience.

L.A. Kitchen is a non-profit organization founded by  Robert Eggeron the core belief that neither food nor people should ever go to waste. By reclaiming healthy, local food that would otherwise be discarded, training unemployed men and  women for jobs, and providing healthy meals to fellow citizens, L.A. Kitchen empowers, nourishes, and engages the community.

The night’s menu was created by celebrity Chef Sammy Monsour (Man Finds Food,Guy’s Grocery Games, Cutthroat kitchen, etc.) and included:

– Spanish Octopus
– 36 Hour Prime Boneless Beef Rib
– Pate a Choux Beignets

Guests were invited to arrive at 2pm to join the students in preparing the meal under the instruction of Chef Sammy. At 5pm the group was treated to a tour of the L.A. Kitchen facilities and was able to see ‘behind the scenes’ of the organization’s inspiring work.

During the dinner, which took place inside the kitchen itself, guests heard first hand from a graduate and a current student at L.A. Kitchen about their inspiring experience in the program and how it has changed their lives.

Here is what two of the guests had to say about the night:

“What an amazing evening. Robert has shown us all how to truly make a difference. He inspires the students at .LA. Kitchen and he inspires me. His energy and passion for trying to help people is contagious. He’s like the Vince Lombardi of non profits. You just want to be a part of what he’s doing.”

Chris Ciaffa – Film Producer

“L.A. Kitchen promises not to waste food or people. Their social impact business model is a masterful expression of philanthropic entrepreneurship. The evening we spent in L.A. Kitchen gave us all a tasteful glimpse at what is possible with a recipe combining hope, purpose, sustainability and salvation. I came away from the evening a believer in their mission and methods. Bravo to LA Kitchen!”

Reo Carr – CEO Physicians News Network

We want to thank all of the guests who attended the evening for their interest and engagement in the meaningful work of L.A. Kitchen, for embracing the spirit of the night and for making short work of Chef Sammy’s incredible menu.
